Childhood Dreams ($RR) is a community owned 0% deflationary currency built on the Ethereum chain that launched mysteriously earlier this year. The contract has since been renounced meaning no further amendments can be made.

The team behind Childhood Dreams has delivered a bullet proof contract and brilliant creative concept. In the early stages of the project, the devs delivered a vision and illustrated it through a series of high-quality video animations published on Twitter.

Since then the devs have gone quiet and it remains to be seen as to whether they will return to guide the project forward, or whether it’s now up to us to make it work as a community.

Why anyone would go to such efforts to create a project of the quality they’ve done, only to abandon it before it’s even gotten started? One theory is that whomever is behind the project is a true believer in decentralization and is dropping a series of projects and walking away from them not for commercial gain, rather to ensure value is fairly distributed amongst those that pick up and drive the projects, rather than whales to take control of supply as happens all too frequently in the crypto space.

Regardless of the devs intentions, the fact remains that $RR has solid tokenomics and the foundations for a brilliant community managed creative idea with broad appeal. After all the concept of childhood dreams applies to everyone.

To this end our community is coming together to develop an idea that builds on the concept of #childhooddreams that will help support the growth of our project independent of any further development the devs may or may not be planning themselves.

So what next?

Our community has grown from strength-to-strength since the project first dropped. The halt in communications from dev has done little to dampen spirits, on the contrary. A dedicated group of early adopters and community leads have gotten together to take matters into our own hands. We all see that this is too good an opportunity to let fizzle out.

We are collectively working on community managed platform idea dedicated to supporting the continued growth of $RR.

We are merely picking up where the devs left off.

Our approach

To manage things properly our community require sufficient infrastructure in the form of a DAO.

Given that $RR is entirely community owned and there is no tax of any kind, there are no income streams to fund marketing or buyback/burn initiatives.

This means we need to get creative when it comes to generating revenue needed to accelerate growth.

To this end our plan is to grow our community around a creative concept that builds on the theme of childhood dreams and that utilizes appropriate decentralised technology.

Hall of Dreams

The Childhood Dream community DAO is called Hall of Dreams.

The Hall of Dreams website will become a place for community governance and a repository for marketing content.

Access to the platform will be facilitated through an SBT ID system being developed as a sub-community of Sublime Society, an upcoming framework for a decentralized society.

The platform is being built on Edge Network — a decentralized cloud infrastructure — and will utilise their open governance system therefore providing absolute transparency and accountability for the community whilst upholding the values of true decentralization.

Everything about this will be fully decentralized.

If you build it, they will come

The Hall of Dreams will be where childhood dreamers unite, not just participate in their community, but to share their childhood dreams.

To drive awareness and bring new people into the project, we are working on an NFT idea that will also generate revenue for the community.

The idea is based on a storytelling concept that invites people to submit their own childhood dreams for potential entry into the Hall of Dreams.

Anyone who wants to can submit an entry which will take the form of an illustration generated via the Midjourney AI art tool, complete with a description of the dream.

Successful submissions will be admitted into the Hall of Dreams, at which stage they will be minted as NFT’s and sold. 100% of revenues generated both via the initial sale and through royalties will be sent directly to a community owned multi-sig wallet which will be managed via the governance system.

People will submit entries via Twitter tagging the Hall of Dreams account and using the hashtag #childhooddream.

The idea creates an ever growing source of rich content to utilise within the Hall of Dreams website and will also generate increased awareness through Twitter.
